‘Dad’s Moccasins’ Pattern is a nod to my late father, who was a sheep farmer. Many hours were spent with him in the woolshed. He not only taught me how to sew up a bale of wool, but also how to make moccasins using a jute wool bale top. This pattern is perfect for using up odd balls of yarn and can be easily adjusted to fit any foot size.
Whilst a pair of moccasins are not a unique piece of clothing, hand knitted moccasins that you have created yourself are Truly Unique!

Finished Length – if knitted as per the instructions approx 24cm long

This pattern was such a joy to bring back to life. It’s one my grandmother once used to lovingly knit baby booties for charity. Years later, my mother carefully re-wrote the pattern on the back of a Weet-Bix box — a little snapshot of making do and creating with what you had.
I rediscovered it while sorting through a stash of well-loved, handwritten patterns, each with its own story to tell. After many customers asked if the pattern was available, I knew it was time to gently revisit and rework the original, honouring its history while sharing it with a new generation of makers.

‘Mum’s Farm Beanie’ Pattern is an adaptation of a beanie that my mother has made many of over her time, knitting them for family, friends & more latterly for charity. Whenever anyone visits the family farm, they are usually given a beanie to wear whilst enjoying the experience. Because of the nature of the pattern, giving it the ability to stretch, sizing is very flexible. Wear it either turned up or down to accommodate the head size.

‘Nellie One Piece Cardigan’ is a pattern that I adapted for my own children. I wanted something quick & easy, that I didn’t have to add on cuffs or front bands. This pattern incorporates both of those attributes, whilst knitting the one piece then requires least amount of sewing together, two side seams and underarms, and it is done.
Nellie – was the name of my very first pet lamb when I was a child.

The ‘Pre-School Pullover’ is a pattern that I have created to provide a garment for young children that is loose fitting and easy to wear. Designed to be worn over a thermal, the pullover gives an extra layer of warmth without the bulkiness of a long sleeve garment. With the front and back both knitted alike, it can be worn either way, which also makes it easier for a child to dress themselves. The shorter sleeve means less mess and clean up!
Whilst a pullover is not a unique piece of clothing, a hand knitted pullover that you have created yourself is Truly Unique!
This pattern has 2 size options: 2-3 years & 3-4 years
You will need:
4.5mm Knitting Needles (the entire garment is knitted using this size needle) - This allows the pullover to be cosy, without being heavy. Yarn Needle for sewing. 4 x stitch markers
